Led by Captain Agung, with a crew of 14, Ombak Putih means ‘White Wave’ in the Indonesian language. Her keel was first laid down in Kalimantan in 1995, and she became operational in 1997. At 42 metres long, she provides accommodation for up to 24 guests in 12 comfortable cabins. Approximately 400 square metres of public space is divided over her two main decks, including a large salon, as well as covered and open areas, allowing plenty of room for our guests to spread out, relax, and enjoy as much company or solitude as they wish.

We offer unique and authentic small-ship expedition cruising experiences throughout eastern Indonesia aboard the traditional Indonesian pinisi ship, the 12-cabin Ombak Putih, retrofitted for style and comfort, while providing superior service and hospitality. From Bali to Komodo, Borneo to Papua, and from the fabled Spice Islands to the magical marine parks of Raja Ampat, we offer a wide array of pleasure and specialist expert-led voyages, where you can immerse yourself in the myriad cultures, fascinating histories, spellbinding natural beauty, and the unique flora and fauna of the world’s largest archipelago, for anything from seven to twelve days. Meet fascinating peoples, explore mezmerising natural habitats, snorkel kaleidoscopic coral reefs, encounter Komodo dragons, giant manta rays, whale sharks, orangutans and exquisite birds of paradise in one of the last and most astonishing frontiers in adventure travel on Earth.

We cruise across the archipelago all the way from Borneo to Papua in the west and east and Sumba and Maluko in the south and north, following the seasons and the winds, and staying one step ahead of the rains so as to provide optimum cruising conditions for our guests.

Rates & Policies

We like to provide our guests with a full and final price for their charter bookings, free from hidden costs and with as few supplements as possible. These are based on a 24-hour day with six hours of cruising a day, full board with professional tour leaders and crew, all food and beverage (except alcohol), park fees, water sports, and all taxes and service charges, except tips for our crew. Tariffs vary accordingly in cruising areas due to the substantially larger costs of operating in eastern Indonesia.

Charters start at US$2,990 pp for 7 nights and we require a 25% deposit to confirm and the balance 90 days before the charter.
